After teasing fans and audiences of US TV show The Sauce with the bauble on her finger, singer Ashlee Simpson denied speculations that she and Fall Out Boy beau are getting married. “It’s just a friendship ring,” Ashlee later said of her reveal.

When she was asked what the diamond ring meant, she told The Sauce’s host, “It just means that Pete hasn’t asked my dad permission yet.”

Ashlee was just fooling around, her rep later said adding that the ring is just a friendship ring and nothing more. “She’s not getting engaged,” the rep insisted.

J.Lo and Marc Anthony Name Twins

Introducing Max and Emme Anthony.

The names of Hollywood’s latest addition, courtesy of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were confirmed Friday by J.Lo’s manager, Simon Fields to People magazine.

The twins born on 22 February weighed in at 5 pounds, 7 ounces (Emme) and 6 pounds (Max). First-time mum Jennifer told the media right after the birth that she will be taking a year off to spend time with the twins. Max and Emme have three older siblings from Marc’s previous marriage.

A day before the birth, both Jennifer and Marc also received Latin music’s Premio Lo Nuestro awards – Jennifer for Best Solo Pop Singer and Marc for Best Salsa Artist Of The Year.
